Let me guess…

If you have come up here you would love to visit Granada and do not really know where to start or how to organize your trip.

If you are looking for an experience where you feel part of the most authentic Granada… you are in the right place.

You will not find the typical robotic tours here. Hospitality, warmth, kindness and sympathy, for me, are key to creating a great experience and good memories.

My mission is that you enjoy this incredible city with the same detail and pampering with which I can enjoy it.

Hello! My name is Miriam Figueroa

Love brought me to Granada, and love has kept me here. In the beginning, it was a hard and brave decision, but I would never change it.  This is my home and my paradise.

I am a fortunate person because I have the great fortune of being able to share two of my greatest passions with you: my work and the city of Granada.

I have been a professional tourist guide for more than a decade. I am an expert in the historical and cultural heritage of Granada.

I am also an inveterate traveler who loves to bring home loads of new knowledge and wonderful memories. I have made it my goal to give this gift to others. I illuminate history and culture for my clients and guide them to enjoy the best of the city.

I love to help others discover more in less time.

All you have to do is enjoy

I design custom experiences for you.

I include everything  important for my guests and then I add all of my first-hand city savvy.

And not everything is memories, for me, the professional part of the culture, learning and sharing knowledge are as important as the rest of the experience.

If you book your visit with me, do not be afraid to ask what you are curious about.  I love didactics, and I am always looking for new methods to make the visits interesting and of course interactive.

Before you visit to Granada, I can help you with your search for hotels, transportation, the best locations, restaurants, etc. I can take care of helping you organize everything.  Any question you have will be important to me.

You just have to email me or call me.   I always answer it is part of my culture and values to be able to help and be useful.

Here is the best part of my job

Sharing knowledge is one of the things I enjoy the most about my work. But as a tour guide, what I enjoy most about my work without a doubt is knowing that your experience has been incredible.

One of the best reviews I have had, and the one of which I am proudest, mentions how I brought to life the history of Granada for a group of young visitors and their parents.

As the mother of a girl whom I adore, inspiring all my clients and especially the little ones to enjoy the knowledge and learn new things, it is a pleasure.

I confess you some of the things that I like most about Granada …

My favourite neighborhood

My favorite corners are in the oldest neighborhood of Granada, the Albaicín.

👣 Walking through its streets is like playing hide and seek with magical hideaways. Its viewpoints overlooking the Alhambra are the most breathtaking places in the city.

💗 Here you will find many restaurants that are perfect for the romantic dinner of your dreams.

My favourite cravings and tapas

I love good food and our gastronomy is another of Granada’s great charms.

  • Something sweet: our delicacy with the most history is a sweet called “pionono”. It is almost considered a historical city character!
  • Something Salty: you cannot miss our “Salaílla Granaína”. It is a baked bread dough cake covered with grains of coarse salt. I recommend trying them with sweet beans from the meadow “vega granadina”, another seasonal product that will conquer your palate.
  • Local cuisine and tapas. The best way to taste everything is to go out for tapas, hopping from bar to bar until you’ve visited several. Another good option for a midday tapas run is the San Agustín Market, where you can sample our traditional products.

If you would rather have a local host guide your tapas adventure, I offer a Culture and Tapas Tour. All-in-one!

👉 Quick Tip: At restaurants, ask which ingredients are in season. You will be surprised by their great quality!

History and culture

As a professional guide, something that fascinates me about Granada is its history and its connection with the rest of the world during the middle ages.

  • Aside from being a huge conglomerate of cultures, the city was home to great figures that I admire and share about in my guided tours: Queen Isabella, Charles V the Emperor, Great Captain, Christopher Columbus…
  • Here in Granada, you can get to know them and understand their decisions from a completely new perspective. You can feel what it was like to be in their shoes during their time.

As you can see, I am in love with Granada. I enjoy discovering every city corner and I love sharing it with my clients.

I see you in Granada..
